CAPABILITY STATEMENT
Seely & Associates is a project development, fundraising, and project management firm that has assisted clients since 1991 to successfully implement important historic preservation, tourism, economic development, infrastructure, educational, health, transportation, and other projects. S&A achieves organizational objectives by building partnerships between the client, Members of Congress and U.S. government agencies and/or foundations and firms. S&A's goal is to gain funding for client organizations and, at the same time, help federal agencies or other giving organization achieve their objectives and leverage shrinking available dollars.
Since 1991, the firm's staff has developed strong working relationships with elected, career and business officials. This has allowed Seely & Associates to achieve an over 90% success rate in gaining funding for proposals for which it has managed the client fundraising process. The firm has long-standing relationships with Members of the different Congressional Delegations and with officials form the Economic Development Administration, the Federal Highway Administration, U.S. Forest Service, among other agencies. S&A's credibility with these and other agencies/organizations stems from the firm's successful completion of numerous federally supported projects.
S&A participation in project implementation has proven to be advantageous to clients because it:
- Ensures the achievement of agreed upon project milestones,
- Paves the way for continued funding in year two and beyond, and
- Injects technical expertise into the project that frequently is not available to the implementing organization.
S&A has offices in Fairfax Station, Virginia; Albuquerque, New Mexico; and Deerfield, Missouri to assist state and municipal agencies, minority groups, non-profits, tribes and firms to implement projects responding to their priority economic and social needs. Seely & Associates is unique in that it takes a management-by-objectives approach to serving clients. The firm's professional staff, which has over 100 years of accumulated fundraising/government relations experience, meet at least twice each year with clients to establish specific goals, strategies for attaining these and a timeline setting out the dates by which major activities will be completed.
